As school districts finalize their budgets for 2011-2012, athletic budgets across the state will most likely be substantially reduced.  Last year, athletics took some form of hit in most districts when state aid was reduced or eliminated for 2010-2011. 
 

Submitting Your Budget the Old Fashioned Way

 
When I was a new school business administrator way back in the ‘80s, BA’s were expected to submit the annual school budget to the county office on paper.  By paper I mean a really long form with lots of subtotals and done in pencil.  The County School Business Administrator had the enviable task of reviewing the budget mainly to make sure it added up correctly.  Most did not the first time around.
